Smith Ranch Homes HOA
Smith Ranch Homes Homeowners' Association is a non-profit, mutual benefit corporation established for the purpose of managing and maintaining a common interest development located in San Rafael, Marin County, California. The Property shall be a senior citizen common interest development. At least one resident in each dwelling Unit must be fifty-five (55) years or older. Other guidelines are outlined in the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs).
Independent Living
Smith Ranch Homes is an independent living community of 244 condominiums in various layouts and locations throughout the common property.
History and Operations
Construction on the main Smith Ranch buildings was completed in 1989 by the developer, Tishman Speyer. Control of the Association was turned over to the homeowners in April 1996.
Since then, we have been operated by an owner-elected Board of Directors. The Board designates volunteer Committees made up of homeowners to review specialized aspects of the community, such as monthly activities and adherence to architectural guidelines. These committees are in place to help the Board identify issues, make recommendations, and garner feedback.
The Board of Directors also employs a General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Association. The General Manager is assisted by departmental managers who oversee the specialized departments: Accounting, Administration, Dining Services, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Resident Services.
The Association's business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with 24/7 patrol officers to monitor the grounds and entrances to the community.
